Here is a little bit more about me.
I’m very much a millennial lingering with my imposter syndrome somewhere between too young and too damn old.
I am an Enneagram 8 which means most days I view conflict as connection.
I married my college boyfriend who grew up to be a building contractor. Thanks to him, we move a lot but since I grew up moving every few years, not only do I love it, but I’m also kind of a pro at it. This nomadic lifestyle we have chosen is one of the reasons I value minimal living on a realistic level. It also forces me to keep the house tidy and perpetually organized, something else that I love!
I have three boys although, if you look at our family, you’ll see only two. Our middle son Miles died in 2020 when I was 19 weeks pregnant. This part of our lives is something I share often. This is the only warning you’ll get about that as I believe “trigger warnings” on our dead babies only perpetuate the stigma that dead children and lost pregnancies are to be hidden in our shame closets. They aren’t.
If you haven’t noticed yet, you’ll soon learn that I constantly challenge authority. Conflict is connection, remember? Along with that, I have spent the last few years as a mother learning to hone my instincts and really trust myself. That’s what you’ll find here and on all my Beka XO platforms – Me telling other mothers to challenge authority and trust themselves.
Whether you’re here to learn, be encouraged, or just be nosey, I am thankful you stopped by!
