I love peanut butter. I really do. I keep a jar in my desk drawer. I am always looking for an excuse to eat it, but it’s not always appropriate to just eat it from the jar. So just for fun, I’ve compiled a list of all the things I’ve put PB on. Some earn me some really weird looks, but don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!
For just a moment, let me take your imagination beyond the bread as we get creative with our peanut butter vessels!
Fruit
- Sliced Strawberries – Hello, it tastes like a strawberry PB&J!
- Banana – My fav is to add honey and microwave it all for 20 seconds.
- Apples – Duh! A classic.
- Celery – Ok, a vegetable, but probably the only one you can put PB on.
- Blueberries – This one was born of necessity but it’s here to stay.
Breakfast
- Oatmeal – If you add in the banana and honey, instant dessert breakfast!
- Grits – I can’t eat them any other way. #notsouthern
- Pancakes & Waffles – Add some fruit and you have a breakfast PB&J.
- Cereal – My fav is granola or shredded wheat with almond milk.
- Yogurt – This combo makes an amazing dip for fruits!
Anything Else
- Burger – As soon as I saw this on an actual menu, I knew it was for me! Remember, don’t knock it…
- Any fruit smoothie combo
- A spoon – or as we call it, a peanut butter popsicle!
